ahh candice and i rock! :D haha we "blurred" together. we went to eat instead of going for bio tutorial. luckily we were like 10 mins late. wah if after 15 minutes still cannot realise, we're simply airheads XDmoral of the story: always check timetable carefully. memorise it if possible. side note: you may ignore the next few sentences.- The 4 Gas Laws. (H2 Chemistry: States of Matter-Gases) 1. Avogadro's Law: equal volumes of gases under same conditions of temp. and pressure contain the same no. of particles i.e. mol ratio=volume ratio 2. Boyle's Law: volume of a fixed mass of gas is inversely proportional to its pressure at constant temp. P1V1 = P2V2 (recall o level physics:D) 3. Charles' Law: volume of a fixed mass of gas is directly proportional to its absolute temp.(temp. in Kelvin) at constant pressure V1/T1 = V2/T2 4. Dalton's Law of Partial Pressure: in mixture of gases that do not react chemically, the total pressure of the mixture is equal to the sum of the partial pressures exerted by the constituent gases. 5. Combined Gas Law: combination of Boyle's and Charles' Law (P1V1)/T1 = (P2V2)/T2 EDIT: can't you see it's easy as ABCD? :D |
